Our UK Corporate Secretarial team has continued to provide support to our clients on a wide range of CA2006 matters, from statutory compliance to more technical and bespoke advice.
During 2024 our team has:
- Continued to grow our subsidiary management service with the team having responsibility for a number of large UK subsidiary group structures. As part of our role, we enjoy being a dedicated point of contact for our clients, ready to advise and assist on all things corporate secretarial
- Successfully completed an extended contract for a UK government regulated body, our engagement included full Board and Committee support along with bespoke Corporate Governance advice. The work completed resulted in being shortlisted for 'Governance Project of the Year' at this year's CGI Awards, having demonstrated the more bespoke and technical areas of the support we were able to provide
- Continued to work closely with members of the wider DWF teams on a variety of projects, including small group re-organisations, providing our clients with a full integrated service
- Provided corporate governance support in niche areas, such as Regulatory and local Government

Global Corporate Secretarial Team
Amanda Hartley-Denton joined the team in April this year, as Senior GEM Team Manager with focus on client service delivery and knowledge sharing across the team. She quickly integrated into the team and has established great working relationships with clients and her DWF colleagues!
Key achievements for the GEM team during 2024 include:
- Successfully onboarded a multi-jurisdictional beauty brands organisation, providing corporate health check reports within 1 month of our instruction, we also assisted with the incorporation of a Dutch entity to form part of their group
- Recently received an extension to our agreement with an international payment processing company, adding an additional 30 entities to our engagement which includes coverage in a further 20 jurisdictions
- Confirmed renewal of our partnership with a global trademark solutions leader, expanding our scope to include their US entities
- We are in the process of updating our Directors' Duties Training Portal with plans to expand its scope beyond foundational duties training. Our objective is to develop a comprehensive governance training platform, with further details to be shared in 2025.
