DWF re-appointed to £100m North East Procurement Organisation legal services framework

07 June 2024

DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has been re-appointed to the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) legal services panel.

DWF's work on the panel will be led by Newcastle office Managing Partner, Lee Pickett, who said "This is a ringing endorsement of DWF's expertise in advising the public sector and focus upon providing the highest levels of customer service".

Alexander Rose, a Partner in DWF's Newcastle office specialising in Competition and Commercial matters added "This appointment recognises our superb track record in advising public bodies during the previous framework across numerous areas of law, with one highlight being successfully advising Durham County Council in the UK's first case under the Subsidy Control Act 2022".

NEPO is a leading public sector framework with over 900 associate members from across the public sector including local authorities and their delivery vehicles, central government departments, education sector bodies, housing associations, NHS bodies, emergency services and charities. Under the new legal services panel, DWF can service the full spectrum of mandatory requirements and most of the additional requirements procured by NEPO for its members.

The organisation is owned by the 12 local authorities in the North East and specialises in the strategic procurement of high value goods and services in order to deliver savings and maximise efficiencies for its members.

DWF's Public Sector practice has gone from strength to strength in recent years advising on major projects such as the new Gateshead Quays project, Clasper Village redevelopment in Gateshead and the Crown Works Film Studio in Sunderland.  The firm has a national reputation for public procurement, regulatory, real estate led regeneration projects, Subsidy Control and grant funding programmes.
