The move will see the creation of a new corporate innovation function focussed completely on innovation activity across DWF and working with strategically important clients. The group will incorporate the existing DWF Ventures team, which will move from Connected Services and will be led by Ventures Managing Director, Jonathan Patterson, who will work closely with CIO Daniel Pollick and CEOs of Legal Advisory, Mindcrest and Connected Services. The new function will be called Innovation & Ventures.
Jonathan Patterson, Managing Director, Innovation & Ventures at DWF said, "Over the last few years innovation has become a core part of the business plans for each of our businesses and a new strategy brings further opportunities for innovation with the development of an Integrated Legal Management model.
"At the same time DWF Ventures has built up an enviable reputation for innovation having worked with several DWF teams and a range of clients on innovation and Legal Design projects. As part of the new strategy, it made sense to combine this experience and investment into an enlarged Corporate Innovation model akin to what you would find in other large corporates outside of the legal industry."
