UK Parliament passes Bill calling on PM to ask for extension to Brexit date: The UK Withdrawal (No.2) Act completed its passage through parliament and awaits Royal Assent. The Act will require the Prime Minister to write a letter by 19th October, which it sets out, to the EU requesting an extension of the UK leaving date to 31st January 2020, something the Prime Minister has stated he is not prepared to do.
