Saturated fats should make up no more than 10% of calorie intakes: This is one of the key recommendations of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition in a report which has been issued for consultation by Public Health England.  Consultation ends 3rd July. View >

 

Consultation on London Food Strategy launched: The London Mayor has issued a detailed consultation on various aspects of food quality and nutrition including a proposal to ban the advertising of food high in fat, salt or sugar on London Underground and buses. 
Consultation ends 5th July.

Advertising rulings on price comparisons: The Advertising Standards Authority has issued rulings as following this week:

  • Charles Tyrwhitt: Complaint re claimed reduction from previous prices rejected as price histories produced.

  • Thomas Cook: Complaint upheld re price reduction claimed from initial holiday launch price because no sales at initial price. View >
  • Argos: Complaint upheld re lack of stock availability at advertised price. View >
