Experience
Tracey is a chartered quantity surveyor with experience across a variety of sectors including retail, residential, education and defence. She has been involved with tendering construction projects, contract drafting and interim valuation and final account assessment.
After completing an MSc in Construction Law & Dispute Resolution, Tracey diversified into dispute resolution work, advising clients on contractual matters and assisting with adjudications and mediation. Whilst working for a multidisciplinary consultancy, Tracey advised colleagues on a wide range of issues relating to both JCT and NEC contracts to ensure contract compliance and dispute avoidance. She has also provided contractual and quantum advice for clients faced with contractor claims, and sub-contractors facing payment issues.
Tracey's current role within DWF involves dealing with professional indemnity claims against construction professionals and assessing loss associated with building defects, escape of water, defective design and incorrectly specified mechanical and electrical apparatus, advising on liability and quantum.
