Steve Hackett

Steve is a Partner in the Insurance team.

Experience

He acts for defendant insurers dealing with serious injury claims involving brain injury and fatal accident claims. He also acts for defendants in claims involving institutional sexual abuse.

Steve has many years experience and expertise acting for defendant insurers in relation to motor claims and specialising in accidents involving major injuries. He is frequently instructed in the immediate hours and days following major incidents and specialise in the early investigation of claims.

He has significant experience in representing clients at inquests and in relation to the defence of serious Road Traffic Act prosecutions. He also deals with claims arising from allegations of historical sexual abuse

Having played rugby for many years Steve has, for the past 12 years, been a rugby coach and is currently the head coach of the senior colts at Preston Grasshoppers RFC. He is a trustee and fundraiser at a local school and enjoy road cycling as well as completing long-distance fund raising rides.
