New research exposes the sugar content and misleading health claims for ‘healthy fruit snacks’: Food group Sustain has published research which reveals that so-called ‘Healthy’ fruit snacks for children can contain nearly as much as 5 teaspoons of sugars per serving. The group is also calling for a ban on the use of claims such as ‘1 of your 5 a day’, ‘Naturally occurring sugars’ or ‘Made from real fruit’. View >
