06 July 2020
On June 30, the DWF Insurance Team held its first two day Special Jurisdictions Insurance Conference which tackled some of the big issues relating to claims in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Glyn Jones provides a round-up of the event.
On June 30, the DWF Insurance Team held its first two day Special Jurisdictions Insurance Conference which tackled some of the big issues relating to claims in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.  There is a massive amount happening in these countries and DWF's substantial presence in all three jurisdictions gives us unique insight into the client perspective on the challenges which Covid presents.  Once again, client engagement was high with over 700 clients attending the 16 sessions.  The conference covered the nature of claims work/business post crisis, large loss, fatal claims, pre-litigation strategies, costs, credit hire, QOCS, and professional indemnity.

I would like to congratulate the team in pulling together and presenting the "virtual" conference and thank you to all the delegates who gave up their time to attend. These are extraordinary times during which we are doing our best to use our expertise throughout the jurisdictions in which we operate to provide the guidance which our clients require and technology is assisting us in doing that.

If you didn’t manage to attend one of the sessions: they have been recorded and will be sent to all those who registered in the coming weeks along with a survey for you to let us know what you enjoyed and how we can improve. Thank you to you our clients whose support enables us to push forward with these new methods of engagement.  We will continue to look at developing innovative ways to connect and educate in these changing times.
