Advertising rulings: The Advertising Standards Authority has published a number of rulings this week including the following:
- Bacardi – Case not upheld in respect of a complaint that advertising for Bombay Sapphire linked alcohol consumption to mood and creativity. View >
- Nestle – Case upheld in respect of overestimation of the chances of winning in an on-pack competition. View >
- Intercontinental Hotels Group – Case upheld re a ‘best price guaranteed’ claim due to lack of transparency of conditions that applied. View >
Alcohol packaging ruling: The Portman group have ruled that a canned alcoholic beverage called ‘Juice box’ marketed by Fourpure brewing Co failed to make it sufficiently clear that it was an alcoholic product. View > View >
