Misleading price comparisons reported: The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld complaints concerning price saving claims made by Laptops Direct and Virgin Media Experiences for failure to substantiate prices from which reductions were claimed. In the case of Laptops Direct an administrative error was claimed on the basis of initial listing at an incorrect higher price and on correction this having been picked up as a saving on the previous price. For Virgin Media it was not clear that a comparison was not with a previous price but against a calculation of individual prices for a visit and meal experience at the Shard which had selected the highest price options for the comparison.
