Advertising watchdog upholds price comparison complaints: The ASA has upheld complaints re Black Friday advertising for Hera for failure to substantiate previous prices from which reductions were claimed and for The Fragrance Shop for failure to indicate that reductions were in fact against recommended retail prices. View > View >

Court imposes £250k fine in case brought by Food Standards Agency: A penalty of £250k plus costs, the largest fine imposed in a case brought by the FSA, has been awarded against Dunbia (Preston) Ltd re meat hygiene offences for failure to remove specified material from carcasses. View >

Right to reject not lost by removal of protective mattress cover: The European Court of Justice has ruled that the 14 day return period for goods bought online still applies even if the plastic protective covering of a mattress has been removed by the consumer. View >
