The Rubie Awards 2020

0097 Culture and Values WT Banner 767 x 431

The Rubie Awards is our annual award ceremony that recognises DWF people across the globe who have made a significant contribution during the last year. Here we reveal the 2020 winners.

The Rubie Awards enable our people to identify amongst their colleagues, those who have not only inspired but who have gone above and beyond, as we collectively work toward our purpose of transforming legal services.

The award categories ensure that everyone across the business, whether they are at the start of their career or are a longstanding team member, has the opportunity to be recognised. Our values sit at the heart of each award and nominations are made on a global scale.

Winner: Souleymane Simpara

To make a big impression in the first year of joining any business is a huge achievement. However, to make such an impact during a year like 2020 is something else completely!

To win this award the winner has to be in their first year at DWF and making a great contribution to the business and have truly lived our values and shown excellence through their talent, skills and behaviours. In doing so, they have helped to make DWF a great place to work.

Souleymane joined DWF's Paris office in January 2020 and has shown tremendous commitment and dedication to the firm, all the more remarkable given France entered lockdown very shortly after his arrival.

But it is the pandemic which has also been central to the work Souleymane has delivered to clients this year, reliably and diligently acting for clients on a large number of COVID-related business interruption claims, helping to create trust and reassurance with clients during this difficult time.
