Semanti Choudhury has more than 14 years of experience as a legal professional. She currently manages and delivers complex contract negotiation and abstraction projects as part of the Contract+ team at DWF Legal Operations, Pune.
Before joining DWF, she gained valuable experience at top-tier law firms, contributing to financial regulatory practices and M&A transactions. Semanti was part of legal research project and involved in development of a comprehensive employment laws database covering 50 countries for a global HR consultancy start-up and has conducted subject matter training in contract abstraction and redlining projects.
Semanti also served as an Assistant Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, where she became a published author in peer-reviewed journals and delivered impactful POSH lectures to government personnel. She is a trained mediator and holds an LL.M. from National Law University Odisha, Cuttack, where she graduated at the top of her class in 2014 with a thesis on Multilateral Investment Agreements. She completed her B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at NUJS, Kolkata in 2009.
She is an accomplished Indian classical dancer, an avid reader, a passionate foodie and loves to spend her time learning new skills when she is not planning her next travel adventure.
