His extensive international expertise spans key private fund and alternative asset jurisdictions such as the UK, Luxembourg, United States, the Netherlands, Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI, Gibraltar etc.

Ravi helps investment fund managers develop and execute co-investment and other structures to raise and invest capital either alongside existing investments or as standalone transactions. This covers co-investment structures; deal-by-deal structures; pledge fund and framework arrangements; holding company solutions; and other structuring arrangements.

Indirect Secondaries and Other Liquidity Solutions:

Ravi advises fund sponsors and GPs, secondary buyers and fund investors on executing secondaries and other fund-related transactions, including: LP portfolio sales and acquisitions; stapled secondaries; GP-led fund restructurings; strip sales; and other secondaries arrangements.

Fund Regulation and Marketing:

Ravi specialises in enabling non-EU fund sponsors to overcome EU regulatory hurdles in order to access EU institutional and retail investors. Similarly, he advises non-UK fund sponsors on accessing UK retail and institutional investors. He advises on:

  • EU fund regulatory and marketing regimes, such as the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), European Venture Capital Fund Regulation (EuVECA), European Long-Term Investment Funds Regulation (ELTIF), Cross-Border Marketing Rules etc.
